Exploding Ideas (“we”, “us”) operates explodingideas.co. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
This site is directed primarily at readers in the United States.
What we collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, and any name you provide. Our email platform also records delivery and engagement information, such as whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.
If you join a course waiting list: the same information, with a note of which course you registered interest in.
If you contact us: your email address and whatever you put in the message.
If you simply read the site: standard technical information recorded by our host, which may include IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited.
Our calculators: run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never sent to us and are not stored.
Why we collect it
To send the newsletter and the emails you asked for. To notify you when a course you registered interest in becomes available. To reply when you contact us. To understand which content is read, so we can write more of what works. To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who processes it
Beehiiv for email delivery, subscriber management and paid subscriptions. Hostinger for website hosting. Google Search Console for search performance data. This reports on how the site appears in search results and does not identify individual visitors.
These providers process data under their own terms.
How long we keep it
Subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed, and afterwards on a suppression list so we do not email you again by mistake. Correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it.
